Shunosaurus (“lizard from Sichuan”) is a genus of sauropod dinosaur from Late Jurassic (Oxfordian) beds in Sichuan Province in China, from 161 to 157 Million years ago. The name derives from “Shu”, an ancient name for the Sichuan province.
